Currently, many TV channels have their own application to be present on all kinds of compatible devices.
One such channel is Hallmark TV, whose app is available through platforms such as Google Play Store, Apple AppStore, and Roku.
But, it looks like the Hallmark TV app on Roku isn’t working properly, according to several reports.

The Hallmark TV app on Roku users reports that the service automatically plays the next movie even before the movie they’re currently watching has finished.
When Watching Limited Time Movies On Hallmark Channel, It Switches To Another Movie
Several times over the past few days I’ve tried to catch up on some of the new movies that aired on the #Hallmark Channel this weekend. They can only be viewed on the Roku app for a few days. After watching almost the entire movie each time (about 10-15 minutes left), I would see a spinning circle as if something was loading and a completely different movie would start playing.
The user further adds:
If I tried to go back and play the original movie, it would start over from the beginning and fast forward was not available. I saw the end of the first while watching it live on TV, but it’s a bit boring. I don’t think I want to try watching any other movies if that were to happen. Does this happen to anyone else?
The problem would occur in the last 5 or 10 minutes of each movie. Also, the fast forward function is not available, so going back to the previous movie is not a solution.
EXACTLY the same experience for me this afternoon with a Hallmark movie. Almost at the finale and the stream changed to a completely different movie. I did not see the end of the first film and like you, I tried to resume the film and it started again. There is no possibility of fast forwarding.
It was my first experience of using the Hallmark app as I took advantage of the 7 day free trial. UX says don’t subscribe.
I did all the software updates and rebooted the system etc.

Still no official press release on the subject.
The aforementioned problem apparently started in the last few days. As of now, there doesn’t seem to be any official announcement about it, either from Hallmark TV or Roku.
Also, some users report that after trying to contact Hallmark TV, they get no response.
Considering the above, it is not yet known whether the two platforms are aware of the reports. If there is any new development in this regard, we will update this article as soon as possible. So stay tuned.
Update 1 (December 11)
2:00 p.m. IST: A community export on the forum noted that this issue will not be fixed until the developers at Hallmark fix it. This is a Hallmark issue with their channel encoding on Roku.
