FuboTV revamps Apple TV app with improved multi-view experience

FuboTV, the popular live tv streaming platform, is rolling out a notable update to its Apple TV app today. The update brings a handful of new features that expand the popular Multiview feature, which allows sports fans to watch up to four games at once on the same screen.

Fubo announced the update in a blog post today, explaining that Multiview has been incredibly popular among Apple TV users since its rollout in 2020. The company says it now gives users the “power to choose even more with the latest evolution of Multiview.”

As part of this, the company is extending its FanView widget functionality to Apple TV for the first time. Fubo first launched FanView on Roku, FireTV, smart TVs and the web, allowing users to follow live scores and stats on the same screen as a live game.

One of the main features of this new Multiview update is support for adding a dashboard to the design, as well as team and player stats. Again, this is all powered by FanView widgets which were previously available on other platforms but are now coming to Apple TV. The company explains:

Our same standard – up to four simultaneous streams – can now be combined with a dashboard, so you can follow match scores in the most watched leagues. Adding a live game to Multiview has never been easier: just select a game from the scoreboard to add the live stream to your screen.

Do you miss who scored, do you want to see how your fantasy player performs or do you place a bet on the first team from 200 yards out? All of this can be followed on the same screen as your live games.

With most major sports, you can now monitor team and player stats for the games you’re watching in widgets that sit alongside the live stream. Whether it’s three live matches and a player stat widget for your favorite team’s match, two live matches with two stat widgets, or anything in between, the choice is yours.

FuboTV has become one of the most popular live TV streaming services over the years, especially as other companies keep raising prices without adding new features. You can learn more about Fubo’s website and watch a video showcasing the new Apple TV features below.
