Apple TV app comes to Philips MediaSuite hotel room TVs

Apple’s official TV app is now available for hotel guests whose rooms are equipped with a Philips Media Suite host TV.

PPDS, the global provider of Philips TV products for the hospitality market, has partnered with Apple to bring the TV app to hotels equipped with Philips MediaSuite, where customers can now access their Apple TV+ subscription when they are not at home.

With the Apple TV app, travelers can watch original shows and movies from ‌Apple TV+‌, get curated recommendations on what to watch, and pick up where they left off on the shows and movies they they are currently watching.

The partnership adds to existing agreements with other leading streaming providers, such as Netflix – combined with built-in Chromecast 4K – to provide hotel guests with a wide choice of streaming home TV entertainment.

“I am absolutely delighted that we can now offer Philips MediaSuite access to the Apple TV app, which includes Apple TV+, one of the most popular TV streaming services in the world,” said Jeroen Verhaeghe, Chief Commercial Officer international PPDS for the hotel industry. “Bringing even more choice to hotel guests by allowing them to stream the content they enjoy, the way they want. The ‌Apple TV‌ app can be added to MediaSuite TVs via the Google Play Store after installing the latest Philips MediaSuite firmware update.
